The Kissing Cousins Tour: A Blues and Jazz Extravaganza! Sept 4th, 2016, 2 30-6 30pm
Both Blues and Jazz have had profound effects on American Pop Culture and the world. These two genres have similar beginnings that took different routs and yet managed to still intertwine with each other. These musical “cousins” have stood the test of time, overcome many difficult circumstances, stayed true to themselves and their fans, and have had a major influence on most of the popular music of today.

This concert is going to be a wonderful tribute to these two styles of music with fantastic local artists paying homage to these “musical relatives”…
The musical lineup includes:
“Peacock Strut”- A wonderful jazz quartet featuring Nathan and Shelby Eicher, Matt Teegarden, and Johnny Mullenax….they are fabulous!
The Jake Karlik Band- This band is lead by 17 year old Jake Karlik, a young Blues/Rock, singer/guitarist out of Jenks, Oklahoma and an America’s Got Talent Showcase performer, band members include Jordan Hehl, Ricky Gonhin, and Scott McQuade.
The Cynthia Simmons Quintet– Cynthia Simmons, one of the top jazz singers in the area, brings with her some power-packed musicians who include Scott McQuade, John Dellavadova, Jordan Hehl, and Dr. Clark Gibson. Get ready to be blown away by this incredible group!
Darell Christopher and the Ingredients– Our show headliner needs very little introduction these local Blues favorites always treats an audience to a captivating, high energy performance at every show! They were also semi-finalists in the International Blues Contest held in Memphis this past fall, if you’re a blues fan this group is a must see!
As a special treat we’ve added Multiphonic Funk, a 7 piece Jazz Funk Band to do our pre-concert and main stage break music from the Lucky’s On The Green Platform! The music is non-stop and so is the fun!
