Barbi Cottingham Benefit Concert at The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame

Amy Cottingham

Presented by Amy Cottingham and Friends, the Barbi Cottingham Celebration Concert is free to the public, though donations are accepted benefiting the Barbi Cottingham Benefit Fund. BarbiCottingham—a pianist and music educator serving Tulsa—has given so much to so many, and is now battling blastic NK-cell lymphoma. Cancer has touched everyone, whether as a patient, caregiver, or friend.  The Barbi Cottingham Benefit Fund will send Barbi to M.D. Anderson to participate in a clinical trial. Getting patients into clinical trials, especially for the rarer forms of cancer, is critical to unlocking the key to this baffling and multi-form disease. Research physicians say we are so close to unlocking it, and every trial takes us a step closer to the cure.

This April 26 concert will be in place of the April Monthly Musicale.  The format will stay the same, with food and wine served at 6:30 pm, featuring the Sheri Neubauer String Quartet.

Performers will include favorite Tulsa artists as Donald & Barron Ryan, Annie Ellicott, Booker Gillespie, Stephen Goforth, Laura Talbot & Ann Raphael, Barry Epperley’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble To Be Named, and of course, the wonderful Amy Cottingham.

Hors d’oevres and desserts are donated by generous friends, and a cash bar will be available.

Barbi Cottingham has been a gift to us all through her music and spiritual presence for many years.  Please help us to make a gift of life to Barbi and to make this musical benefit a true celebration!

Barbi Cottingham has made enormous contributions to Tulsa’s music education community, teaching piano to hundreds of students over many years, and serving as president of the Tulsa Accredited Music Teacher’s Association.

She is a spiritual blessing to so many people, providing music for her church, and helping her friends at the drop of a hat. She has been an incredible and supportive mother to son Chris and daughter Amy, and even now you will see her catering Amy Cottingham’s famous Monthly Musicales every month with her wonderful cooking.
